Thought Leadership, the Customer Experience, and you in 2010….

Author: Colin Shaw

It’s 2010 and some people are still yet to understand the impact of the internet.

I still see organisations behaving like they are still in the 20th Century. The brands that are excelling in this century are brands that provide a great customer experience, are open to customers and proactive in adapting to a changing media landscape. Tim Parker over at Social Media Today has written a great blog post on the new rules for organisations in the 21st Century, and how much the brand-customer power shift has affect business.

“This post is not about the technology – it’s primarily about how behaviors and expectations have changed – and the changes are substantial.”

So far Tim has covered the new breed of customers, online audiences, influencers and blogs. I’m not entirely in agreement that it has just been the advent of social media that has led to this shift in thinking & behaviour, but Tim covers the key changes to the relationship between consumers and organisations.

The New Rules of Thought Leadership [part one] and [part two]

Tim will be going onto rules 5 &6 next week so check back to socialmediatoday.com for more.
