“That’s it. I’ve had it.” and then he jumped down the emergency slide..

A Jet Blue flight attendant made a dramatic exit from his job yesterday.

Steven Slater, 39, was arguing with a passenger after they attempted to retrieve their hand luggage whilst the plane was taxi-ing. After being abused by the passenger, Slater then grabbed the intercom and announced: “To the passenger who called me a mother ——, —- you. I’ve been in the business 28 years. I’ve had it. That’s it.” and promptly opened the emergency exit, slid down the inflatable slide and proceeded to stroll across the tarmac whilst removing his uniform.

After arriving home, Slater was promptly arrested and is still currently in police custody. Despite the apparent endangerment of passengers, Slater has been supported online by other service reps. It will be interesting to see how Jet Blue respond to this incident, especially given their previous customer experience track record.
